AEW RAMPAGE
28 January 2022
Comments: Excalibur, Ricky Starks, Chris Jericho & Taz

Match 1Jon Moxley def. Anthony Bowens via penval

A relatively short match was filled with some amazing moments to open the show. In the end, however, Moxley was able to fight back from an incredibly resilient Bowens to take down his opponent. Towards the end of the game, Moxley hit Bowens with his finisher after Max Caster came down to the ring and tried to intervene.

Match 2 – FTR def. Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson via penval

Another short but sweet match sees FTR step out as the winner. In what turned out to be an incredible match between the two teams, it was two bystanders who made things fall apart. Late in the game, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard started fighting in the first place, causing a distraction that almost led to FTR losing. However, the team was only able to stop things long enough to hit a double team heap on their opponents for the win.

Match 3 – Jade Cargill (c) def. Julia Hart via penval – TBS Championship

Jade Cargill continued her dominating run as TBS champion and photographed Julia Hart in a good addition to the evening. Things came to an end when Cargill was able to survive a series of kicks from Hart before being hit by a hurricane. After kicking out of a pin attempt, Cargill then landed a running kick to Hart’s head, before lifting her and dropping her with a massive blow for the victory.

Match 4 – Jurassic Express (c) def. Private party via pinfall – AEW Tag Team Championship

Jurassic Express and Private Party all went into their title race to conclude tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage. However, it was Jurassic Express’ athletics and teamwork that ended things and gave them another title defense. Late in the game, Jungle Boy was able to reverse a move from Marq Quen’s top rope, before turning it into their finish for the win.

After the match, The Gunn Club entered the ring and took out both champions, before concluding the evening by posing above them with the titles in their hands.
