Frankie Kazarian stays at AEW because he has signed a new contract with the promotion.
Pwinsider.com reported the news today. The terms – money and length – of the transaction were not disclosed.
Kazarian was one of the first group of wrestlers to sign with the start-up company in 2019, months after it was founded and before they had a TV deal with TNT.
He was part of the first AEW Tag Team Champions ever with Scorpio Sky when they beat The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) in the final round of the tournament to win the titles. They held the tires for 83 days before losing them to Hangman Page and Kenny Omega.
Since divorcing Sky on television, he’s been a singles wrestler with his most recent fight taking place in last week’s episode of Dynamite, where he lost to Lance Archer. He also worked on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation to help the younger stars.
