Last year it was Andy Dalton, this year it could be AJ Green.
The longtime Bengal wide receiver spoke today about Sunday’s game with the Baltimore Ravens which is possibly the last of his career with Cincinnati, 10 years of playing in the Queen City.
“If this is my last game, I’ve had an incredible 10 years here,” Green said Thursday.
Since being the 4th overall pick in the 2011 draft for Cincy, Green has had an outstanding career pulling in 649 passes for 9430 yards and 65 touchdowns.
It was a difficult year for Green in 2020, as he mostly plays as the team’s third receiver, with 47 passes for 523 yards and two scores.
Green earns $ 18.1 million this year, money he will not be able to find in the free agent market, no matter where he goes in 2021.
For the first time, it will be an emotional downfall Sunday for Green, who has been an example of a great player over the past decade.
