Bengals 2021 schedule: 17 match days and times, schedule strength, final record announcement
The Cincinnati Bengals finished second in the AFC North in 2020 for the third consecutive season, which will put pressure on third-year coach Zac Taylor.
Of course, Joe Burrow had a knee injury last season in the No. 1 pick. Burrow should be back, and the Bengals have a young active player in the attack who has added the first-round pick to Ja’Marr Chase. Cincinnati ranked 22nd in the NFL last season in scoring defense, and are up against a tough schedule that includes NFC North and AFC West.
What is that schedule like now? Here’s a full rundown of the Cincinnati Bengals ’2021 schedule, including 17 game dates and start times, and our early prediction.

The Bengals face six playoff teams from last season, which is the three rivals of the AFC North in Baltimore, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. The Chiefs and Packers visit Paul Brown Stadium, and the Bears are the only team in the playoffs to face the Bengals on the road.
Burrow will also have fun quarterback games on schedule, a rematch with the Chargers in Week 1 last year and a No. 1 battle with Trevor Lawrence of Jacksonville.
The strength of the Bengals schedule
Cincinnati’s opponents won .529 percent last season, making Bengal their sixth most difficult schedule. The four teams in the AFC North have schedules that place them in the top 10 of the most difficult schedules.
Cincinnati must take advantage of this schedule of roads outside the division. The Bears, Broncos, Lions, Jets and Raiders had a 9-31 record at home last season. That last-place schedule also created the Jaguars, which could give Cincinnati a .500 record boost.
Hardest tests: The Bengals have their ninth home game, but it’s a tough test against San Francisco. The 49ers will be healthier this season, and it’s not an easy game.
The AFC West means a two-time match against the defending Kansas City champion. The Raiders, Chargers and Broncos will also improve. He has lost to Cincinnati against the Raiders and Chargers in the last two seasons.
Longest breaks: The Bengals have a good track record against NFC North. Cincinnati is 11-5 against that ranking in the last four rounds of NFC North since 2005. The Packers and Vikings come to the Paul Brown Stadium. Aaron Rodgers is 1-2 in three outings against the Bengals.
There’s also the chance to face newcomer Trey Lance of San Francisco, Cincinnati’s Zy Wilson, New York’s Zach Wilson, Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence and Chicago’s Justin Fields. If Fields doesn’t start, former Bengal quarterback Andy Dalton could start against Cincinnati for the second year in a row.
Bottom line: Cincinnati’s schedule is nice enough for AFC North’s opponents to have a record winner outside.
What happens within the division?
Ravens have beaten Bengal by 25.2 points on average in the last four games of the match. This had two explosions last year. Cincinnati is 2-6 against the Browns and Steelers against Taylor. Burrow could compete with Baker Mayfield and Cleveland, and those teams played two single-scoring games last year. He beat Pittsburgh 27-17 in Monday night football last year, but it was a rare victory in a one-sided series.
Cincinnati will be an improved team in 2021, but they are stuck in the toughest division in the NFL. More or less. The 500 record would be a success, and it’s enough to keep Taylor for another season.
