Classification results for Formula 1: The starting grid of the 2021 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola

Lewis Hamilton with 99th position.

The Mercedes driver takes control of Imolan on Saturday, achieving the fastest lap in Saturday’s standings. In a small surprise, Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas placed eighth in the primary sector of the track with difficulty.

It was a day of oblivion for Carlos Sainz in his second qualifying session with Ferrari, who were left out of the top 10 on the net. Teammate Charles Leclerc played much better in the car, finishing fourth overall, blocking Ferrari’s second-row seat, which they hope will bounce back this season.

Elsewhere, George Russell remains undefeated on Saturday against his teammates, once again beating Williams teammate Nicholas Latifi after a small scare in Latif on the final lap. It wasn’t a great day for the veterans either, as Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel both finished in the second half of the standings.
