Dean Muhtadi, better known among wrestling fans as Mojo Rawley, announced on his social media that he is returning to professional wrestling after 19 months of hell with coronavirus.
“About 19 months ago I got very badly COVID and had to go to hospital, almost dead, and my lungs were really in a bad condition,” Muhtadi said in a video. He said he could have no pressure on his lungs and could not speak for days on end because he could not get air in. He noted that above all, the scariest part was that doctors did not know what to do or tell him. because COVID was still new then.
“Fast forward 19 months later, and I’m not quite at 100%, but I’m getting pretty close,” he continued. “My training has been kicked off and I feel good enough to officially announce that I will be wrestling baby again!”
He said COVID thought it got him, but he must have forgotten he was up to date!
The former 24/7 champion was released from his WWE deal in April last year after not appearing on television for almost a year due to his condition.
