We all love a good tennis bag; the pro players all use those big tennis racket bags with their huge logos for their sponsors but meer mortals prefer a bag which is useful beyond the court, a day bag, a commuter holdall. There has been a raft of these new innovative tennis racket bags hitting the market. One of the very first we got to try was the Geau Tennis Racket bag which coincidentally we loved. It’s compact, durable, has lots of storage and the best bit it looks good both on or off court.
Geau Sport have recently released 3 new racket bags to their range which improve the choice for the consumer and introduce some lovely new color palettes. We caught up with Geau Sport Founder Chris Pageau to find out about these bags.
What makes the new Stance Tennis Tote unique?
As with any new product that I develop, I like to engage with my target consumer to understand and prioritize their pain points and then work creatively to solve those problems.
With the women’s tennis tote, it became very clear to me that the big problems to solve were 1) the desire for better organization – more pockets & compartments 2) preventing the tote from slouching or falling over when setting it down 3) the desire for a more modern and subtle aesthetic.
The Stance Tennis Tote delivers a design that solves those problems better than any other tennis tote in the market.
What makes the new Aether Backpack and Aether 3-Pack Racquet bag unique?
As with any new product that I develop, I like to engage with my target consumer to understand and prioritize their pain points and then work creatively to solve those problems.
The new Aether line of tennis bags is designed for superior management of sweaty apparel and towels with its uniquely large exterior mesh panel and waterproof fabric between the interior and exterior of the bag.
What inspired you to expand your product line?
When I launched the Axiom Backpack an Axiom 9-Pack Racquet Bag in 2020, I always knew that I would follow up with additional tennis bag options. It was just a matter of timing it right. These new bags allow a wider array of tennis players to realize the Geau Sport vision of making the tennis bag a coveted piece of gear.
What new products or colors do you plan to launch next?
We have a lot in the works right now. By the summer of ’22 you will see a 2.0 version of the widely acclaimed Axiom series of tennis bags that will feature two color options, an additional size option, and some upgraded features.
We are also developing a new model for fall ’22. We may start to mention some details about that launch this summer to our followers.
What other plans does Geau Sport have for the future?
Inevitably we will need to expand our distribution beyond the US. We already get a surprising amount of international sales however most of the international community aren’t able to buy because of the high cost of shipping. I’d like to change that and make Geau Sport more accessible to some key regions around the world.
