GUY Wall won the rain-shortened Australian PGA Senior Championship played at Richmond Golf Club.
Wall defeated former European Tour star Peter Lonard in a play-off for the title thanks to a six-yard birdie on the fifth extra hole after both players fired four under par from 66 yards.
Due to heavy rain, the event, short of Queensland players due to boundary restrictions, was reduced to an 18-hole shooting match.
In the run-up to the championship, 28 sponsors and pro-am teams, each sport, “a legend”, hit the track.
Team MaC Insolvency and PGA legend Ben Jackson won that day.
Even though the weather let a team down, the overall opportunity was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
For the record, more than 100 golf fans braved the weather to follow the playoffs between Wall and Lonard.
