MONTREAL, QC – Few phrases in Montreal Canadiens tradition elicit more emotion or evoke more memories than “The Forum“. The arena, once called by Sporting News “the most famous building in hockey history”, was home to nearly 18,000 Habs fans between 1924-1996.
Today, that iconic structure on Cabot Square no longer resonates with the sounds of skates, sticks, picks and cheering amidst Stanley Cup winning excitement. However, Habs fans have found new ways to keep making their voices heard.
With that in mind, Rocket Sports Media is proud to bring you a new video column, Habs Fan Forum. The weekly video series is presented by contributor Ben Dankiw. Each week he will take you on a journey to summarize the highs and lows of the Habs from a fan’s perspective. So belt, it’s always a wild ride!
This week:
In this week’s episode, Ben talks about Montreal’s poor performance at home this past week. It seemed like the goals never ended, as the Habs dropped three in a row inside the Bell Center. Ben responds to every game and shares his thoughts on what becomes a problematic trend of poor first period play.
Despite the obvious problems with the Canadiens’ current goalkeeping situation, the prospects are not bad, with some players shining through in their individual play. Listen as he takes you through his player notes of the week to point out some special performances!
