Undefeated middleweight, Felix Cash admits he would be keen to face Chris Eubank Jr, should he overcome Magomed Madiev on Saturday night.

Cash (14-0, 10 KOs) clashes with unbeaten Russian, Madiev (15-0-2, 4 KOs) for the vacant WBC international middleweight title on the undercard of Daniel Jacobs’ showdown with John Ryder at Alexandra Palace, live on DAZN.

Eubank Jr secured a unanimous decision win over Liam Williams on Cardiff last Saturday and is targeting a bout with IBF middleweight titlist, Gennady Golovkinwho is set to face WBA ‘super’ champion, Ryota Murata in a rescheduled meeting and is reportedly being lined up for a trilogy with Canelo Alvarez in September, according to ESPN.

Cash says he was unimpressed with his performance, after he had the Welshman down four times during the bout and insists he would welcome a fight with him.

“It was a bit of a weird fight to be honest with you,” the 28-year-old told proboxing-fans.com at Wednesday’s media workout.

“I’m baffled why Eubank did not step on the gas when he hurt Williams early on and try to force the stoppage, because he looked like his punch resistance was gone and he looked like he was there to be taken out.

“So, it was a bit of a weird fight and then he started dancing around the ring all night and he took a few right hands.

“I do not know what he was doing.

“Golovkin is fighting Murata so he’s tied up. If I come through this fight on Saturday night, Eubank can get it. ”

The Wokingham man ends a near 10-month lay-off on Saturday night, having not fought since ripping away the British title from Denzel Bentley with a third round stoppage win due to personal reasons.

Cash, who is highly ranked in the WBO behind current champion, Demetrius Andrade believes he can halt Madiev, who is rated at three by the WBA.

“He was a good amateur,” Cash said.

“I’ve watched a few clips of him and he looks decent, strong and game, so we’ll see how good he is on Saturday night.

“I’m going in there to win the fight, but there’s no reason why I can not get him out of there beforehand and I believe I will.”
