BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana junior / sophomore forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was named one of 15 players added to the 2022 Naismith Men’s Defensive Player of the Year Watch List, the publication announced on Thursday.
Jackson-Davis, a preseason All-Big Ten selection, leads the conference with 56 total blocks. The midseason Wooden Award Watch List player has swatted away at least two shots in 16-of-20 games played this season. He is the anchor of a defensive unit that leads the league in field goal percentage defense (37.7%), points per game allowed (63.4) and points per game allowed in conference games (64.7).
The former Mr. Indiana performer from Center Grove is the only Big Ten Conference player on the list of 15 elite defenders.
