When asked about Jalen Brunson’s pending free agency and potential trading market, Begley said the Knicks ‘at least touched the bases’ with the Mavericks over Brunson. Begley also mentioned that there is at least one more team willing to make him an offer ‘north of $ 20 million’ in free agency. “Jalen Brunson has been on the Knick radar for a while now for many different reasons. He has a lot of ties to the Knicks. So I know the Knicks, at least, got in touch with Dallas over Brunson and I can not tell you what it would take to withdraw Brunson from Dallas from a Knick perspective. I’m not sure about that.
