Bellator 274 saw Neiman Gracie and Logan Storley clash in the main event.
Bellator 274 saw the first non-title, the five-round main event in promotion history with Neiman Gracie and Logan Storley fighting for a higher ranking in the welterweight division. The first round was unexpected, with the two elite-level grapplers opting to throw strikes for most of the first round. While Gracie busted Storley’s nose a bit, the second round went much in the way of the first. Gracie mounted a bit more action in the third, but in the fourth things got intense. Storley and Gracie each hurt each other with big strikes, with Storley dropping Gracie at one point. The fifth round was less dramatic, with both men just grinding out the clock.
When it was all said and done, Storley got the unanimous decision victory.
Logan Storley is now one of the front runner’s for the welterweight champion
With the win, Storley is on the fast track to a title fight. He had an incredible fight and a great bounce-back performance compared to his prior win against Dante Schiro. Storley may need to get one more fight, and Josh Thomson thinks that Douglas Lima would be the perfect opportunity.
