The Merrimack men’s hockey team was number 19 in Monday’s DCU / USCHO poll. The Warriors cracked the top-20 for the first time this season and for the first time under head coach Scott Borek.

The Warriors are number 14 in the Pairwise, which is the rankings the NCAA uses to select and select teams for the NCAA Tournament.

Merrimack is ranked in the poll for the first time since December 14, 2015.

Monday, Liam Walsh was named Hockey East’s player of the week. Walsh scored a total of four points, including two goals and two assists, which included two powerplays as well as the game-winner on Saturday. He scored at least one point in four consecutive games, all wins, for the strong Warriors.
