QB Joe Burrow Has Torn ACL, MCL, Additional Damage in Knee

The news on Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow is worse than expected, as the quarterback has suffered both a torn ACL and MCL, along with other damage to the knee.

Recovering from a torn ACL typically takes six to nine months, but with all the other things that Burrow suffered in Sunday’s loss to Washington it might be even longer that he’s out for.

Burrow will have reconstructive surgery, and it’s unclear whether he’ll be ready to go in nine months as next season is set to start or if he will have to wait for his 2021 debut.

In 10 games in 2020 Burrow threw for 2688 yards with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions with an impressive QB rating of 89.8.

The team is expected to go with Ryan Finley for the team’s remaining games left in the 2020 season at the quarterback spot.
