Ronda Rousey is on her way to WrestleMania three years after her last WWE match at the same event. Rousey made a surprise, but rumored, entry at the 2022 Royal Rumble at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. Louis, Missouri. She entered the Royal Rumble competition for women as the 28th of 30 participants.
Rousey, with new ring gear, received the loudest applause of the game on Saturday night. Former UFC women’s bantamweight and Raw Women’s champion added the Royal Rumble winner to her list of achievements by eliminating SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair to win the match. Rousey eliminated several other superstars in the Rumble, including Nikki ASH and Brie Bella.
“Rowdy” Rousey has now secured a world championship match at WrestleMania. Currently, SmackDown’s champion Flair and Becky Lynch are reigning as Raw Women’s champion. The conclusion of the Women’s Royal Rumble contest teased Flair vs. Rousey is the most likely direction.
The Rumble winner last competed in WWE at WrestleMania 35 on April 7, 2019. She entered the event as Raw Women’s Champion and lost her title in a triple threat match with Becky Lynch and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Lynch pinned Flair in the game. Rousey has never been pinned or filed in the seven years since her debut.
