Super Bowl results, MVPs throughout NFL history: Rams outlast Bengals to capture franchise’s second title

Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, Matthew StaffordSean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams are your Super Bowl LVI champions after a 23-20 come-from-behind triumph over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at SoFi Stadium in California.

The Rams raced out to a 13-3 lead in the second quarter before the Bengals responded with 13 unanswered points to take a touchdown advantage. Los Angeles kept battling, though, first getting a field goal from Matt Gay in the third quarter and then, trailing by four with a little over six minutes to play, putting together a 15-play, 79-yard drive that fittingly ended with a one-yard touchdown from Stafford to Kupp with just 85 seconds remaining.

The Bengals had enough time to tie the game and force overtime, but on fourth-and-1 from about midfield, three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald got a hold of Joe Burrow and began twisting him to the ground. Burrow somehow got rid of the ball, but it fell incomplete as the Rams secured their first Super Bowl title since the 1999 season and second overall.

With the Rams being the latest franchise to host the Vince Lombardi Trophy, here’s a look back at all of the scores and MVPs of the 56 Super Bowls:
