Tottenham 1 – 3 Man Utd
Manchester United once again came out on top to win Tottenham 3-1 and broke four hopes of the hosts with only seven Premier League games left.
Edinson Cavani scored in the 33rd minute when VAR saw an arm of Scott McTominay at the heung-Min Son, a decision that was “embarrassing and ridiculous,” Sky Sports experts said at the break. The South Korean striker put himself ahead of the Spurs before the break with a long-range shot from the center of Lucas Moura (40).
United equalized early in the second half when Fred managed to change a few meters after Cavani’s shot was put in the way of the Brazilian by Hugo Lloris (57).
The visitors took the lead when the excellent ball from substitute Mason Greenwood turned into a diving header by Cavani (79), and Greenwood completed a superb performance from the second half, breaking home support after Paul Pogba did a great job (90 + 6).
United’s earnings are 28 points from losing positions, the longest distance in the Premier League, leaving him in second place with nine points and fifth place
But the result leaves Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham four points behind fourth-placed West Ham in fourth place with time to bring him back to the Champions League football club next season.

How United’s second-half session sank Spurs
After 36 hours of speculation about Harry Kane’s future if Spurs doesn’t get the top four this season, this tool added to the intrigue, at least not for Mourinho against his old club.
Manchester United started Pogba on the left front three, but the visitors struggled to play in the middle of the pitch in the slow first half, and although Spurs also created little to nothing, the defense seemed to be calm.
But the game became intense with a moment of VAR discussion, thinking that United had taken the lead. Cavani headed down the house, eight feet from Pogba’s stunning left foot in the box, but the VAR saw McTominay’s deflected arm in Son’s construction.
McTominay’s action was unexpected, so the Scot didn’t receive a second yellow card, but it was enough for officials to dismiss the goal, much to United’s anger, after Giovani Lo Celso’s similar arm against Marcus Rashford went unpunished.
“If there is a foul, we should all go home,” Roy Kean told Sky Sports about the forbidden goal, and Micah Richards said, “It’s embarrassing. This is no longer football. The game is deteriorating.”
PGMOL, which is in charge of match officials, said the incident was not due to the movement and irresponsibility of McTominay’s natural race.
To add to United’s frustration, Son turned into a scorer just minutes after Spurs ’first shot when Lucas Moura’s ball bounced back to the post from Harry Kane’s first goal from Victor Lindelof. it was a few inches from his capture.
It was the 14th goal of the Son Premier League this season, equaling the best return achieved in the 2016/17 competition.
As we get used to seeing United this season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side activated after the break, and after Lloris dismissed McTominay’s curling effort, they drew level.
Bruno Fernandes, Rashford and Fred combined well with a small space to maneuver around the box, with Fred entering Cavani’s door. Cavani’s left-footed shot was saved by Lloris, but he came into the way of Fred to return home under the crossbar for the second Premier League goal and the first in 73 first-half shots.
After such a tumultuous start, the game was completely open. Dean Henderson stopped Son’s low shot with his feet, then used his feet again to deny Kane from a narrow angle, with both sides of Lloris saved from Fernandes ’effort at the other end, while both sides looked for the winner.
United took the lead with 11 minutes to go as Fernandes found Skill’s clever ability to hit a wicked ball eight times into Cavani’s head, and the Uruguayan bent low to turn Lloris into a superb header.
Tottenham made three changes with a 2-2 draw against Newcastle last weekend; Japhet Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez and Carlos Vinicius left, leaving Serge Aurier, Eric Dier and Heung-min Son XI.
Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford were both fit to start for Man Utd, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a change since his 2-1 win over Brighton.
Last weekend the winning scorer Mason Greenwood fell to the bench, Scott McTominay XI. Dean Henderson scored again for the league match, replacing David de Gea from Granada’s midweek victory.
Spurs almost equalized with six fouls, with Cavani deflecting the ball to the post in a corner after chaos, but United secured the points in the final minute of the stoppage.
Pogba, who signed for Mourinho at United in 2016, was excellent in construction, shaking Eric Dier and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg before feeding Greenwood, and the youngster hit hard near Lloris on the right leg, even touching the French.
It was a perfect show for King United in the second half, but they lost 18 points after winning the Spurs, which is not usually a feature tied to one side of Mourinho, with Fulham (19) and Brighton (20) only worse.
