It’s still on the docket. It’s still relatively early in the new year and that means it’s time to start looking ahead to what’s to come over the next several months. That is certainly the case in WWE, which has a lot of things to cover coming up. WWE needs some new feuds to build around, or at least something they have not had in a long time. It seems they already have a plan in mind.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has plans to run a feud between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre at some point this year, though it is not clear when the feud will take place. McIntyre returned from an injury at the Royal Rumble while Reigns is set to defend his Universal Title against Goldberg at Elimination Chamber and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. The two have met before, with Reigns defeating McIntyre in a non-title champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series 2020 and at WrestleMania 35.

Opinion: I’m not sure how this has not been a bigger feud yet, as they are two of the bigger stars in WWE. McIntyre would pose a serious threat to Reigns and that has been lacking for a lot of his title reign. I could certainly go for this and it would not surprise me to see it take place relatively soon after WrestleMania. Either way, it’s the kind of big fight feel that WWE is lacking and now we should be in for something special.

What do you think of the idea? Where would you see the main match taking place? Let us know in the comments below.
